Apply for HumAngle Accountability Fellowship Programme 2024 for young Nigerians.
People are chosen for the HumAngle Accountability Fellowship based on the quality of their self-designed projects or ideas. The program lasts for six months. The fellowship gives the project funding, training, and a mentor to help it get to the implementation stage.
Those who want to apply must base their own projects or study proposals on one of the following topics in Borno, Adamawa, or Yobe states:
-Taking responsibility in the areas of security and aid
-Safety in the climate -Education -Violence against women and girls -Transitional justice
Young professionals at the start of their careers can get ready for the HumAngle Accountability Fellowship, a professional program based on merit that helps them create their own projects about accountability in the humanitarian and security sectors, climate security, education, sexual and gender-based violence, and transitional justice. It helps the guys make smart decisions about their careers and raises up new leaders and change-makers.
The HumAngle Foundation runs the fellowship program, which is based on merit and a competitive entry process. The program’s goal is to find exceptional young men and women who are excited about putting their own ideas into action and moving them forward professionally.
Those who want to apply must be from Borno, Adamawa, or Yobe, and they will have to do their work in the parliamentary districts where their projects are located.
These people must be between the ages of 22 and 30.
Those who want to apply must have at least a Diploma degree.
Those who want to apply must show that they are passionate about the themes and have a history of work.
Applicants should live in the area where they are being sent, or they should be ready to pay for their own move.
Applicants must know the area well even if they don’t live there.
Women should really think about applying for this grant.
Applicants must send both a personal essay of 250 words and a self-designed project essay of 500 words. One should explain in their writing why they want the fellowship and what they hope to get out of it. In the project essay, the applicant must make it clear how they plan to do the tasks and why the community needs the project. The topic of the project should be clear from the subject of the project essay.
A resume and two letters of reference are needed for the application.
Good things:
Fellows will get training and advice from leaders in the field every month while they start to test the viability of their own ideas in the field.
Fellows will receive a monthly stipend to help pay for their research and cover the costs of getting to and from the site and using technology.
If they want to, fellows can work as freelancers for HumAngle after the fellowship is over, and they will get paid every time their work is released in that role.
At the end of the fellowship, each fellow will be given a medal.
Fellows will be able to reach their goals by connecting with more professionals.
Fellows will have monthly conversations with exceptional people who have done very well in their jobs.
HumAngle will point fellows in the direction of a wide range of possibilities, and the best fellows will be asked to lead future cohorts.
Some fellows who write articles and stories and do them well might be considered for a full-time or part-time job in the HumAngle newsroom.
Commitment
Fellows have to be morally good people who have never been in trouble with the law.
Fellows must not miss any training sessions or fail to turn in a monthly report about their activities without first asking the trainers for extra time.
Fellows must make sure that the projects they plan themselves are their own original ideas.
The fellows need to know a lot about the project and the setting where it will be carried out.
Fellows must do step-down training in their own areas and keep working on accountability even after the program is over.
Requirements
The HumAngle Accountability Fellowship is looking for nine (9) passionate young people from these places to join our 6-month program.
Fellows have to be interested in either researching and telling stories, campaigning at the local level, doing groundbreaking study, or all of these things.
